    Levenson Eye Associates is a multisite ophthalmology practice with locations throughout the Jacksonville metropolitan area. Our experienced and skilled caregiver team specializes in the management of all eye related diseases. We use the most advanced technology available to provide the highest quality care to our patients and improving the health and well-being of the communities we serve.

    Position Summary:

    We are seeking a Medical Records Associate to join our team. As a Medical Records Associate you will be responsible for filing all paper medical files. Coordinating with the other team members on medical record requests. You will be working in a highly fast paced environment.

    This position is located on site at our Riverside location: 751 Oak Street, Suite 100, Jacksonville, FL 32204.

    Schedule: Clinic hours are Monday through Friday, 7:00 am to 5:00 pm.

    Job Description/Essential Functions:

    Filing medical documents into the proper charts. Processing medical requests via (fax, email, and/or mail).

    Makes sure that all charts are accounted for before the following business day. Review the previous days of call in slips; document notes from tech lines or patient requests for prescription drops or other needs. Ensure all pink slips are addressed and appropriately filed.

    Prepare and print the day's schedule

    Chart Management File completed charts in alphabetical order after patient appointments. Ensure dictated notes are reviewed and filed correctly within the charts. Incorporate office notes from other doctors into the appropriate charts and place them on the desk of the relevant doctor. Continuously monitor and address any new updates or requests throughout the day. Maintain an organized and efficient workflow to ensure smooth handling of patient records.

    Education:

    High School graduate, college degree preferred

    Experience/Skills: Previous healthcare experience Strong communication skills (verbal and written) Take the initiative to learn and advance in a fast-paced medical office

    Must be dependable, self-motivating, multi-tasking, excellent active listening skills.

    Experience working in a medical records; highly preferred.
