    USPI Medical Park Tower Surgery Center __ is seeking a motivated Medical Records/Back-Up Scheduler to join our team. We have 5 OR rooms. We perform outpatient surgical procedures in General, Ophthalmology, Orthopedic, Urology. We are looking for a candidate to be available Monday-Friday, schedule subject to be changed based on surgical schedule and flow of day. The candidate needs to be available for some early mornings and later evenings.

    Job Summary: Medical Records/Back-Up Scheduler is responsible for assembling and maintaining patient’s health information in medical records and charts. Ensure all paper and electronic records are complete, properly identified and signed. Copies, retrieves and tracks medical records request. Assembles charts for peer reviews and conduct chart audits daily. Responsible for tracking dictations to ensure all cases are dictated and follow-ups should be made with physicians regarding missing dictation of cases. Plans and schedules for surgical and related appointments for doctors.

    Required Skills

    Qualifications:

    • High school diploma or equivalent required
    • Minimum 2 years of hospital/ ASC medical records experience or Medical office experience
    • Must have at least TWO YEARS direct experience as a Scheduler in the medical field, with experience scheduling surgeries preferred
    • Flexibility to work early morning shift to accommodate surgery schedule
    • Communication skills
    • Basic math skills
    • Computer competency
