    USPI Audubon Ambulatory Surgery Center at St Francis is seeking a motivated Medical Records Clerk to join our team. Audubon Ambulatory Surgery Center is a fast-paced, multi-specialty Surgery Center committed to producing the highest quality work and experience for patients and their families.

    The Medical Records Clerk is responsible for assembling and maintaining patient’s health information in medical records and charts. Ensures all paper and electronic records are complete, properly identified and signed. Copies, retrieves and tracks medical records request. Assembles charts for peer reviews and conducts chart audits on a daily basis. Responsible for tracking dictations to assure all cases are dictated and follow up should be made with physicians regarding missing dictation of cases.

    Salary Range - $17-$20

    Required Skills

    Position Requirements:

    • Minimum 1-2 years of hospital or medical records experience required.
    • Knowledge of The Joint Commission Standards
    • Ability to use time wisely in preparing work area to meet high-paced demand.
    • Show a genuine desire to work and improve the center as a whole.
    • Must be detail oriented.
    • Must be able to communicate verbally and non-verbally in a professional manner.
    • Must be able to adhere to hospital financial and admitting policies.
    • Ability to promote positive relationships with patients and staff.
    • Must know insurance verification and collection processes.
    • Must have problem solving and decision making skills.
    • Professional appearance.
    • Must demonstrate excellent phone etiquette and exceptional customer service skills.
