Providence Staffing’s client is seeking an experienced Medical Records Representative to join their personal injury law firm in Birmingham, AL. The Medical Records Rep will be responsible for obtaining, organizing, and managing medical records and related documents for personal injury cases.
Key Responsibilities:
- Request, follow up, and obtain medical records from healthcare providers, hospitals, and clinics.
- Organize and maintain electronic and physical medical records.
- Review medical records for completeness and accuracy.
- Work closely with case managers, paralegals, and other team members to ensure all necessary medical documentation is available for case preparation.
- Communicate with healthcare providers to resolve any issues related to medical records.
- Ensure confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA and other privacy regulations.
- Update and maintain the case management system with the status of medical records requests and received documents.
- Assist with other administrative tasks assigned by your supervisor as needed.
Qualifications:
- At least 1 year of prior experience working medical records with a personal injury firm.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport quickly.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to manage sensitive client information with the utmost confidentiality and professionalism.
Compensation:
The salary range for this position is $19- $20 per hour.
