    *Medical Referral Coordinator* REMOTE *CONTRACT*

    Description:

    Bilingual Medical Referral Coordinator

    Work location \- Employee will work remote.

    Work hours \- Hours can be anywhere from 8am - 530pm Monday- Friday

    (Saturdays as needed).

    This position will allow us to support the referral volume for the clinics in the Market.

    Ideal candidate background:

    1\. Health Care related experience 1+ years

    2\. Effective verbal and written communication skills

    3\. Able to navigate through multiple software and computer technology

    4\. Knowledge of medical terminology

    Top 5 responsibilities for this position

    1\. Manage the internal/ external referral process and daily referral reconciliation gathering required information and documents needed, working them accordingly in compliance with established timelines

    2\. Answers telephone and assists caller through the phone queue with scheduling and other needs based on the call type

    3\. Deliver quality customer service, managing the referral process professionally and in a timely manner maintaining professionalism and a positive attitude with all internal and external customers/peers

    4\. Ability to work independently

    5\. Obtain and update prior authorizations and referral authorizations for both internal and external specialty offices


    What skills/attributes are required

    1\. High school diploma or GED equivalent required

    2\. Health Care related experience 1+ years

    3\. Customer service experience 1+ years

    4\. Effective verbal and written communication skills

    5\. Strong customer service skills

    6\. Detail oriented with organizational and time management skills

    7\. Efficient proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including: Excel, Word and Outlook

    8\. Able to navigate through multiple software and computer technology

    Skills/attributes:

    1\. Knowledge of basic medical terminology

    2\. Referral management experience: 1-2 years

    3\. Medical Insurance experience: 1-2 years

    4\. Customer Service: 3-5 years

    5\. Bilingual

    Dress code - Scrubs or business casual is the current dress code.

    Candidate will be interviewed via Microsoft Teams and needs to be on camera during the interview. We will go over some standard questions.
