    Goldson Spine Rehabilitation Center (GSRC) is a multi-disciplinary practice that has been in business for over 25 years. Our services include chiropractic, physical therapy, massage therapy, and psychotherapy with five locations across the southeastern region of Florida. We operate under the mission “To provide the most courteous and effective care and increase the well-being of every person who walks through our door”. The company is seeking a part-time Medical Scribe to assist our physicians with increasing their efficiency and productivity by managing patient information, medical histories, physician exams, treatments, and services provided.

    Responsibilities:

    Be proficient in documenting patient information in Chiro Touch.

    Consult with chiropractors and physical therapists to make sure the information is accurate.

    Attend monthly and quarterly office meetings in addition to annual events.

    Ensure medical reports for patients (i.e. initial, re-exam, and final) are completed and submitted to be reviewed and signed by the Chiropractors and Physical Therapists who completed that evaluation.

    Responsible for obtaining all missing contents needed to complete medical reports.

    Ensure patient paperwork and reports are completed in a timely manner.

    Ensure that all medical request forms from attorneys are scanned in the patient’s file in Chirotouch.

    Responsible for posting diagnoses in Chirotouch if they are not done by the chiropractors and physical therapists.

    Responsible for releasing medical records and information to authorized persons (i.e. lawyers, insurance companies, and patients. via (fax, email, or mail).

    Providing medical information by answering questions and requests of patients, lawyers, insurance companies, etc.

    Assist with organizing and maintaining health information both in paper files and in electronic systems.

    Abides by HIPAA laws regarding the sharing of personal medical information.

    Attends to email correspondence.

    Open to cross-training in other departments of the company.

    Skills & Abilities:

    Good written and verbal communication skills in English, and able to communicate to a diverse range of people clearly and effectively

    Good use of a computer, printer, fax, scanner, and copier machines

    Ability to work in and contribute to the team

    Ability to provide excellent customer service

    Ability to multitask while still paying attention to the details

    Good time management skills

    Minimum Qualifications (either degree area is preferred):

    Bachelor of Science in Health Education, Exercise and Sports Science or Bachelor of Science in Biology
