Seeking a Spanish Interpreter for our medical facility.

Area: Jacksonville

Responsibilities:

• Provide interpretation services for patients and healthcare providers in medical settings.
• Facilitate effective communication between patients and healthcare professionals, ensuring accurate understanding of medical information.
• Interpret conversations, medical procedures, and instructions in real-time.
• Translate written documents such as medical records and consent forms.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to professional ethics while interpreting sensitive medical information.
• Collaborate with social workers and child protective services when necessary to ensure the well-being of patients.

Skills:

• Proficient in medical terminology to accurately interpret and translate complex medical information.
• Bilingual proficiency in English and another language (PORTUGUESE - SPANISH)
• Familiarity with American Sign Language (ASL) for effective communication with hearing-impaired patients.
• Strong communication skills to convey messages clearly and accurately.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, multitask, and prioritize assignments.
• Excellent interpersonal skills to establish rapport with patients from diverse cultural backgrounds.
• Knowledge of hospital protocols and procedures related to interpretation services.
