    Job Description

    Position Overview: The Medical Student & Residency Outreach Coordinator is to be responsible for leading the Medical Student Referral Program, building relationships with residency program coordinators, and representing PracticeMatch at physician conferences. This role will engage medical students early in their career journey, foster partnerships with residency programs, and work to increase awareness of PracticeMatch’s services among residents and fellows. The successful candidate will be an essential link between PracticeMatch and the next generation of physicians.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Medical Student Outreach

    • Build and brand awareness with medical students before residency.
    • Establish incentive structures for medical students, including enrollment and referral bonuses.
    • Guide and support medical students in using PracticeMatch’s free resources, such as our guidebooks and tools.
    • Maintain an organized database of medical students within the physician interviewing portal and ensure smooth transitions into residency and ambassador roles.
    • Regularly assess and adjust program strategies based on performance, feedback, and industry trends.

    Residency Program Coordinator Engagement:

    • Build and maintain relationships with residency program coordinators nationwide.
    • Contact residency programs to introduce PracticeMatch and inform them of the services we offer for their residents and fellows.
    • Provide ongoing communication and support to residency programs to strengthen long-term partnerships.

    Conference Representation and Networking:

    • Attend all major physician conferences to represent PracticeMatch, promoting our services and engaging with key stakeholders, including medical students, residents, fellows, and residency program coordinators.
    • Network with potential partners and clients to increase PracticeMatch’s presence in the medical community.
    • Stay informed on trends in the medical field, particularly regarding residency programs and physician career development.

    Webinars and Educational Outreach:

    • Organize and coordinate educational webinars hosted by medical students, promoting topics such as applying to residency and additional training.
    • Collaborate with medical students to distribute promotional materials and set up school-based outreach events.
    • Work closely with marketing to ensure the alignment of promotional efforts with PracticeMatch’s broader strategy.
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's Degree in business, marketing, healthcare administration, or related field (equivalent experience will be considered).
    • 1-3 years of experience in program management, outreach, or relationship-building roles, preferably in healthcare or education.
    • Proven ability to build and maintain professional relationships, especially in a medical or educational context.
    • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey value to both students and program coordinators.
    • Experience attending and representing organizations at conferences or events is highly preferred.
    • Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
    • Proficiency in LinkedIn and other networking platforms for outreach and relationship-building.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Previous experience working with medical students, residency programs, or physician services is a plus.
    • Experience managing paid referral programs or ambassador programs.
    • Knowledge of physician career pathways and residency program structures.

    Work Environment:

    This role will require travel to various physician conferences across the country. The candidate must be comfortable with travel and interacting with individuals in various settings, from medical schools to large-scale conferences.
