Are you an experienced and qualified medical technician with 2 years of experience and a commitment to exceptional patient care? We’re growing and looking for someone to perform and analyze laboratory tests, and uphold strict safety and privacy standards. MLT license is preferred, but not required, but you must be familiar with lab and medical equipment, medical information systems, laboratory best practices, and medical terminology. Full time positions available for the shift from 11pm to 7am and part time available for 3pm-11pm. Responsibilities: • Organize collections and distribute test samples of blood, tissue and body fluids • Maintain and operate laboratory instruments and diagnostic equipment such as centrifuges and chemistry analyzers • Prepare specimens for testing for a medical technologist to test for proper patient diagnosis • Cleanse, organize, and sterilize lab equipment to prepare for testing • Run laboratory tests such as plasma and serum analysis and urinalysis • Delivers routine daily medications and treatments • Coordinates with PCP and Direct Care Staff to assist with resident care and medication • Follow written and verbal instructions to administer and manage medications • Record medication dosage and times • Observe residents and document changes in their condition Qualifications: • Excellent analysis, organizational, interpersonal, and analytical skills are necessary • You should be familiar with laboratory best practices and equipment • An American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) MLT license • An associate’s degree from an accredited training program in clinical laboratory science is required • 2 years of experience as a medical technician, or medical laboratory technician is crucial • High school diploma or G.E.D required • Aged 18 or older • CPR/First Aid certification preferred, willing to train • Experience in personal care preferred • Rotating shifts will be required over weekends and holidays. Travel during inclement weather is possible Compensation: $16 - $19.50 per hour
