Our client is a 238-bed acute care hospital. For 40 years, they have served Bay County and the surrounding communities. They are an accredited facility offering comprehensive care. This includes advanced cardiac assessment and treatment. They offer certified women's services. Our hospital has dedicated spaces for adult and pediatric emergency services. They are certified in Advanced Primary Stroke Care. The hospital is accredited as a Comprehensive Breast Care Center. We are the area's only Accredited Chest Pain Center with Primary PCI and Resuscitation. Other services that they offer include orthopedic care and joint replacement, robotic surgery, cardiac, vascular, and interventional services. We are home to the only Pediatric ER in the community. They have the only Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) and Pediatric Intensive Care Unit in the region. Together, they continue to raise the bar in healthcare.
Job Summary and Qualifications
Their Medical Technologists (MT) perform assigned laboratory tests in specialty departments to include Hematology, Clinical Chemistry, Blood Bank, Serology, Coagulation, Urinalysis, and Microbiology. By conducting laboratory tests and procedures, you will help to provide data for the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of disease.
- Day-to-day duties include complex analysis of microscopic, immunologic, biologic, bacteriologic, hematologic, and chemical tests and their results.
- You will also be responsible for specimen receiving and putting away supplies when received in the department.
- You will troubleshoot/resolve instrument problems and document corrective action in appropriate log and when necessary, perform instrumentation repairs.
- Assure that quality control is properly performed and logged and follow proper department procedure for corrective action.
- Demonstrate the knowledge and skills to train new employees and/or students.
- You will actively participate in phlebotomy and the accession responsibilities.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Technology of Clinical Laboratory Sciences or related field.
- Open to experience even new grad as long as they have completed clinical in a hospital. Any MT experience or even MLT experience works as well.
- Medical Technologists (MT) registry required to start.
- ASCP or equivalent is preferred not required
- Candidates need to have taken the MT exam/applied to state in order for them to be considered for the role

(Shifts are 4 days a week / rotating weekends)
