    The Ocean Community YMCA, a leading non-profit charitable organization, is seeking a dynamic and motivated Member Engagement Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in enhancing our members' experience by fostering engagement, loyalty, and community. This position involves developing and implementing strategies to connect with our members, understand their needs, and ensure they receive the highest level of service and support.

    This is a Full-Time, non-exempt position with an hourly range of $20-$22 per hour.

    Location: Naik Family Branch, 1 Harry Austin Drive, Mystic, CT.

    ****Key Responsibilities: ****

    - **Member Communication: ** Maintain and organized and efficient Welcome Center in the Branch and serve as a point of contact for members and prospective members, responding to inquiries via phone, email, and social media in a timely and professional manner.

    - **Engagement Strategy: ** Develop and implement innovative member engagement strategies to increase participation in programs, events, and initiatives.

    - **Content Creation: ** Assist in the development of marketing materials, newsletters, and digital content to keep members informed and engaged.

    - **Data Management: ** Maintain accurate member records and track engagement metrics to assess the effectiveness of engagement initiatives.

    - **Event Support: ** Assist in planning and executing member events, including webinars, workshops, and community gatherings.

    - **Collaboration: ** Work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, membership, and customer service, to align efforts and share insights.

    ****Qualifications: ****

    - Minimum of a high school diploma plus at least 2 years in a customer service position

    - Proven experience in member services, community engagement, or a similar role.

    - Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

    - Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and trust with diverse groups.

    - Proficient in using CRM software, social media platforms, and Microsoft Office Suite.

    - Creative problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to challenges.

    - Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

    - Must be CPR/AED/First Aid/Emergency Oxygen Administration certified- YMCA willing to train
