    Eastman Credit Union is seeking a Member Service Representative in our East Greeneville Branch. The Member Service Representative utilizes the knowledge of deposit accounts, consumer loans, and other services to accurately and efficiently assist our members with all their financial needs.


    Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

    • Provide ECU members with consumer loan and deposit products and services to meet their individual needs, including curbside service where appropriate

      • Interact with ECU members to build relationships by adhering to ECU’s Service Excellence Expectations
    • Adhere to the Communication Handbook standards when communicating with members and coworkers through all channels (i.e. text – Eltropy, Skype, email, and phone)

      • Perform all member service and lending responsibilities with a high degree of accuracy, efficiency, courtesy, confidentiality, and professionalism
      • Adhere to ECU policies and guidelines
      • Maintain thorough knowledge of ECU products and services
    • Assist members by cross servicing additional products and services to improve their financial condition

    • Educate members on debt protection products for consumer loans in order to protect members and ECU

      • Refer to ECU employee and MSR Word Pictures for additional job standards
      • Willingness to work at any branch necessary based on business needs within the regions
    • Security and Safety

      • Maintain strict confidentiality toward member accounts within ECU as well as outside of ECU
      • Maintain strict confidentiality toward ECU corporate information and assets
      • Be attentive to lobby traffic and follow security procedures for suspicious persons
      • Be aware of "All Clear" process, various alarms/security measures, verbal signals, physical signals/procedures following an incident
      • Take action to provide/maintain a safe working environment and member environment - Report all potentially unsafe acts/conditions to appropriate

      • Demonstrate exceptional attendance and punctuality practices
      • Arrive at work and return from lunch/meetings promptly (be at workstation and ready to work at scheduled time)
      • Review timecard daily for overtime and report to manager for possible remediation.
      • Document overtime, PTO, etc
      • Be flexible when needed during scheduled off time

    Required Skills

    Required Experience

    High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required; post high school education preferred. At least 2 years prior knowledge of opening new accounts and lending experience required.

  • Qualifications
    • Ability to understand and carry out written and oral instructions in English and to perform assigned duties without immediate supervision.
    • Ability to utilize computers on a daily basis to respond to emails, write reports, create spreadsheets, and so forth.
    • Ability to read blueprints and technical construction specifications. Must have experience utilizing AutoCAD, BlueBeam Revu, or other similar design software to manipulate drawings and to add comments during plan reviews.
    • Ability to apply recognized standards of good practice relevant to matters of safety and security.
    • Ability to effectively plan and coordinate multi-task requirements and meet self- and pre-imposed objectives and deadlines.
    • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, students and university community.
    • Ability to walk and climb stairs. Many buildings have multiple floors with stairs and no elevators. Must be able to climb ladders.
    • Ability to work in environments with extreme temperature and humidity common in Florida and may work outside or in buildings without air conditioning, heating, or other comforts. May work in areas that are dusty, noisy, and areas that may have unpleasant odors.
