The Greater Waco YMCA is accepting applications for an energetic, dependable and articulate individual to work part time as a Member Service Representative in our fast-paced, family-oriented environment.

Available Shift: Monday through Friday, starting at 5am

Essential Functions

• The Member Service Representative delivers excellent service to all members, guests, and program participants contributing to member retention.
• Answering phones in a professional manner.
• General data entry and clerical functions.
• Responsible for monies received during shift and ensures that transactions are accurately recorded. Completes End of Shift process reconciling cash, check, and credit transactions to balance the shift report.
• Conduct facility tours responsive to the needs of prospective members; while promoting membership at the Y.
• Builds relationships with members; helps members connect with one another and the YMCA.

Qualifications

• Must possess a High School Diploma or equivalent and be at least 18 years of age.

• Excellent knowledge of computers and office software are essential.

• Cash handling experience is preferred.

• Previous customer service, sales or related experience desired.

• Must be able to multi-task efficiently and work effectively under pressure.

• Candidates must be punctual, reliable and available to work their assigned shift.

• Be able to work a shift beginning at 5am Monday through Friday

• Must have a neat appearance and be well-groomed.

• Excellent interpersonal and problem solving skills.

• Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people from all social and economic
  segments of the community in a respectful manner.

• Ability to maintain a calm, professional presence when handling stressful or difficult situations.

• CPR/ First Aid Certification required within 30 days of hire.

Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screen, criminal history, sex offender and reference checks.

Pay Rate: $13.00 to $14.00/hour
