We’re looking for a reliable Mental Health Administrative Assistant medical assistant to work directly with our mental health clinicians and help us provide first-class care to our patients. You’ll greet people when they come in (when we go back to in-person), organize and schedule appointments, return emails, collect documentation, all while building an excellent rapport with our patients. Jobseekers should have some experience in the Psychology/medical field and love helping people. • Proven working experience as an Administrative Assistant in a medical or mental health facility • Knowledge of medical office management systems and procedures • Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and priorities work • Social perceptiveness and service-oriented • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Strong organizational and planning skills • Proficiency in MS Office and patient management software Responsibilities: • Manage clinical data • Answer phones and return phone calls in a prompt manner • Book appointments and provide consultations for potential clients • Weekly meetings with upper management • Utilize multiple Electronic Health Records systems • Be familiar with and implement HIPPA regulations • Sending and auditing new client forms • Manage clinician’s schedules with clients (i.e. cancelling and rescheduling) • Support clinical staff with client related questions • Check insurance information and collect client payments • Quick to reply and meet deadlines with clients and projects Qualifications: • Over 1 year of work experience as an administrative assistant performing admin duties or similar role in a mental health or medical workplace. • Experience working in mental health preferred • Graduated from high school or received GED • Solid communication and excellent customer service skills • Critical thinking skills • Experience working with diverse populations • Clear written and verbal communication skills • Familiarity with insurance and billing • Fluent in reading, writing, and communicating in Spanish • Must be comfortable working independently most of the work day Compensation: $22 - $25 hourly
