    Job Overview:

    Mental Health Clinicians function as an integral part of the interdisciplinary team. They provide accurate reporting of sheltering activity as assigned. They provide a variety of services to help people with mental health issues, including:

    • Assessment: Conduct psychological assessments to evaluate clients' mental health and needs
    • Treatment: Develop and implement treatment plans based on clinical diagnoses and evidence-based practices
    • Therapy: Provide counseling and psychotherapy to individuals, families, and groups
    • Crisis intervention: Perform crisis intervention and involuntary hospitalization assessments
    • Collaboration: Work with other professionals, such as psychiatrists, social workers, and primary care physicians, to provide holistic care
    • Advocacy: Provide advocacy services to families, children, and other clients
    • Consultation: Serve as a consultant for other mental health staff and prepare progress reports
    • Referrals: Make referrals and other arrangements for client treatment and service
    • Record keeping: Maintain accurate and confidential client records

    Each applicant interested in supporting in North Carolina will need to be ready to deploy and arrive at the designated site within 24-48 hrs. from the time of notice. Each applicant will need to complete an onboarding packet. It is uncertain as to the locations where personnel will be needed but will be located at staging areas established by State Agencies in various regions of the state.

    Labor Rates: The following rate includes labor wages, lodging, per diem, and travel.

    Mental Health Clinicians: $60-$65/hr.

    Overtime Rate: Time and a half

    Shift: Up to 12 hrs./day – Up to 7 days/week

    Location: TBD

    Duties:

    • Document the patient's medical history and use and maintain medical equipment. Give diagnostic tests, observe vitals, and provide a prognosis from treatment progress.
    • Administer treatment to patients.
    • Accurately update and maintain cases.
    • Maintaining accurate, up-to-date case information.
    • Helping to manage patient health care needs.
    • Work with clients to create a treatment plan.

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor's degree or master’s degree in a relevant field, such as counseling, psychology, or social work.
    • 2 yrs. experience as a mental health clinician.
    • Experience working with clients to develop a treatment plan.
    • Possess the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform assigned tasks/be drug-free.
    • Able to participate and contribute to regular meetings.
    • Able to interact with the community in a clear, compassionate manner, respectful of diversity and unique needs.
    • Pass a level 1 background check.
    • Background in health care, social work, mental health, disability care, substance abuse recovery, geriatric care, and long-term care.
    • Demonstrated experience within a customer service environment.
    • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
