Position: Mental Health Counselor.

Location: Fairmount Avenue, Jamestown, New York. Job Type: Full-time Salary: $25 - $30 an Hour Application Deadline: Till positions are filled.

We are currently seeking a Mental Health Counselor to join our dynamic team to provide emotional and administrative support to clients in either individual or group settings .

Position Overview: As a Mental Health Counselor, you will provide individual and group counseling services to clients facing a range of mental health challenges. You will work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to develop personalized treatment plans and support clients in their journey toward improved mental health.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct assessments and evaluations in line with the APA /DSM 5 TR to understand clients’ mental health needs.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
• Provide evidence-based counseling and therapeutic interventions.
• Facilitate group therapy sessions and workshops.
• Maintain accurate and confidential client records in compliance with ethical and legal standards.
• Collaborate with other professionals, including social workers, psychologists, and psychiatrists.
• Stay current with best practices in mental health counseling and attend professional development opportunities.

Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field.
• Valid state licensure (LPC, LCSW, LMFT, or equivalent) [Licensed professional, apply for our Licensed counselor/social worker position for increased pay/remuneration].
• Experience in individual and group counseling preferred.
• Understanding of mental health disorders and treatment modalities.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Empathetic, patient, and culturally competent approach to counseling.
