We are actively seeking dedicated and compassionate individuals currently enrolled in a graduate program for counseling, or social work who have met the college requirements to participate in a practicum/internship. Join our team and play a crucial role in providing services that inspire hope, foster healing, and provide overall health for our clients. This opportunity is designed to provide hands-on experience in mental health counseling. The selected interns will work closely with our experienced mental health professionals to contribute to the well-being of our clients. This unpaid internship opportunity will provide real-world experience within clinical counseling in a multigenerational and multicultural client setting.
Responsibilities:
Assist in conducting individual and group counseling sessions under the supervision of licensed professionals.
Collaborate with the mental health team to develop and implement treatment plans.
Administer assessments and screenings to clients to identify their mental health needs.
Maintain accurate and confidential client records in compliance with ethical and legal standards.
Participate in team meetings and case consultations to enhance professional development.
Provide crisis intervention and support as needed.
Qualifications:
Currently enrolled in a graduate program for counseling or social work.
Has met the college requirements to participate in a practicum/internship.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Empathy and a genuine interest in helping individuals facing mental health challenges.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical guidelines
