    Mental Health Peer Support Counselor Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinics Full-time Pay: $20/hr (See details below)

    The Mental Health Peer Support Counselor engages in activities to support clients in their mental health recovery. Using a person-centered approach, they provide empathetic support for their clients, helping them to navigate their community and build relationships, and empowering them to advocate for themselves. With personal lived experience or having a family member with mental health challenges, the peer worker supports client engagement with their community.

    Job Responsibilities:

    Provide direct support for clients in mental health recovery

    Assist clients in identifying and engaging with community resources.

    Serve as a mentor for clients in support of their recovery goals

    Help to develop resources for the clients and the program

    Connect clients with each other and their community to establish and grow their support network

    Qualifications:

    Relevant personal experience

    Positive attitude and flexibility

    High School Diploma

    Certified Peer Specialist (CPS) a plus

    Valid driver’s license and vehicle preferred
