    Mental Health Therapist (MHT) (Bilingual English/Spanish)

    Job Summary:

    As a Mental Health Therapist (MHT), you will play a pivotal role in delivering compassionate individual and family therapy services. Collaborating closely with our clinical team, including psychiatric providers, you will contribute to holistic treatment plans designed to enhance the health outcomes of our patients. This position requires a dedicated professional who is passionate about mental health and committed to providing quality care.

     

    Key Responsibilities:

    \- Deliver behavioral health counseling services to individuals and families.

    \- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and collaboratively establish treatment goals.

    \- Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions.

    \- Maintain accurate and confidential records of patient observations and progress.

    \- Evaluate the effectiveness of therapeutic interventions and adjust treatment plans as necessary.

    \- Educate patients and their families about community resources and therapeutic activities available to them.

    \- Collaborate effectively with patients, families, providers, and community organizations to ensure coordinated care.

    \- Provide assessments, social services, and counseling that address social, psychological, financial, and familial aspects affecting patients.

    \- Document therapy sessions and treatment outcomes in compliance with professional standards.

    \- Assist with direct patient care activities as needed.

    \- Develop and lead educational programs for staff to enhance service delivery.

    \- Assess, diagnose, and implement treatment strategies consistent with mental health therapy licensure.

    \- Promote and provide community education on available therapeutic services.

    \- Cultivate relationships with community health and social agencies to expand resources available for patient support.

    \- Deliver training programs to outside organizations focused on health and wellness initiatives.

    \- Serve as a lead therapist for trauma and personality disorders, providing clinical consultation to staff.

    \- Offer clinical guidance on mental health issues to multidisciplinary teams, particularly concerning geriatric populations and substance use disorders.

    \- Communicate essential patient information, including social histories, to staff and providers to ensure continuity of care.

    \- Coordinate care planning, making informed recommendations and facilitating decision-making for individual patient treatment plans.

    \- Participate in treatment planning and case reviews with providers.

    \- Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned.


    Education:

    \- Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Mental Health Counseling is required.

     

    Licensing:

    \- Must hold one of the following independent licenses:

    \- Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or LPC Associate

    \- Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or LCSW Associate

    \- Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) or LMFT Associate

     

    Experience:

    \- A minimum of 2 years of professional experience in a mental health setting is preferred.

    \- Proficient verbal communication skills are essential.

    \- Strong ability to make informed evaluations, decisions, and recommendations for effective treatment planning and implementation.

    \- Exceptional interpersonal skills with a compassionate and empathetic demeanor.

    \- Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English is required.
