Mental Health Therapist in Private Practice Are you a passionate and caring therapist who prides themselves on providing the best possible care for your patients? Responsibilities include meeting with clients (both telehealth and in-person eventually) in an outpatient private practice setting and building up a caseload over time. Our ideal candidate holds a current Illinois license (LPC, LCPC, AMFT, LMFT, LSW, LCSW) and has a minimum of 1-3 years of experience counseling mental health patients. We are looking for an energetic therapist who is passionate about gaining experience in private practice and is a self-starter! Ideally, the candidate is willing to grow to a full caseload. • This position will likely start fully telehealth and grow into a hybrid role where you will be expected to see clients in the office also - growing to a full caseload (22+ clients weekly). Location TBD - but near McHenry County and Crystal Lake, IL (within 20-30 min commute distance). • Ideal candidate has at MINIMUM, a strong desire to work with couples. Prior couples work preferred. • Role will start fully telehealth with more details to come - but the ideal candidate lives within comfortable commute distance to Crystal Lake IL. You will be the first therapist to join the team in the expanded location! • Job includes hourly clinical rate, annual bonus, CEU stipend, free supervision, and case consult on a warm and energetic/personable team of therapists, and medical benefits upon full-time status (22+ clients weekly). Responsibilities: • Conduct outpatient therapy (50-minute sessions) in accordance with state regulations and professional licensure laws • Has desire to grow into a full-time caseload over time • Provide therapy to individual and couples clients; prior experience with couples a major benefit • Maintain scheduling of active clients and collect balances due at the time of service; utilizing the practice's electronic health record system • Maintain contact with the client’s other treatment providers to ensure optimum care, if necessary • Attend weekly (eventually biweekly) meetings to discuss administrative and clinical matters • See clients during some evenings and weekend hours • Participate actively in sessions with clients and uphold our values Qualifications: • Minimum 1-3 years experience providing therapy to both individuals and couples • Located within a comfortable commute distance to the Lincoln Park neighborhood of Chicago • Passion and experience working with clients on issues in their primary relationships, anxiety, depression, life transitions, or other problem areas • Master's degree in a related field • Active license in the state of IL • Ability to maintain a calendar of clients and all corresponding administrative work such as treatment plans, progress notes • Ability to work independently; self-starter • Consider yourself an "active" therapist - engaging with clients during sessions and providing feedback as necessary Compensation: $55 - $70 hourly
