Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated Student Mentor to join our team. The Student Mentor will be responsible for providing guidance, support, and mentorship to students, helping them navigate challenges and achieve their academic and personal goals. Responsibilities: - Mentor students on academic and personal matters - Assist students in developing study skills and time management techniques - Provide guidance on career planning and goal setting - Educate students on various topics related to personal development - Help students address conflicts and challenges they may face - Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other stakeholders to support student success -Conduct monthly home visits -Facilitate group workshops -Translate educational instructions and program updates to families and students whose preferred language is Spanish Experience: - Previous experience in mentoring or social work is preferred - Experience working with children or young adults is a plus - Ability to effectively communicate and build rapport with Students -Strong conflict management skills - Passion for helping others reach their full potential -High School Diploma or GED Job Types: Full-time or Part-time Pay: $16.00 - $22.00 per hour Schedule: • Monday to Friday • No weekends Shift availability: • Day Shift (Preferred) • Evening Shift (Preferred) • Occasional weekends Ability to Commute: • In all NYC Boroughs (Required) Work Location: In person
