    Job Description

    Ingram Content Group (ICG) **** is hiring for a Metadata Support Specialist to contribute to our ) team in our NYC office. In this role, you will oversee metadata entry, management, and optimization for Ingram Publisher Services (IPS) client publishers, ensuring all processes are developed and maintained for client publishers to submit and finalize their titles into CoreSource on an as needed basis. You’ll work together with management to interpret metadata health on a channel-by-channel basis and suggest improvements accordingly. Also, you will help develop a metadata strategy via best practices for IPS publisher and Ingram with management and will coordinate assigned improvement projects.

    Required Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent year for year directly related experience
    • 3 years of experience in marketing, book publishing, book industry, account support, client administration, data management, or related field

    Preferred Skills:

    • Book industry experience
    • Strong written and oral communication skills
    • Experience working in a professional environment
    • Detailed-oriented and strong organizational skills
    • Experience with MS Office suite, especially MS Excel

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Ensures accurate reporting on Ingram Publisher services’ metadata; assess metadata based on Quality and Health from varied perspectives, i.e. Channel, market, segment, etc.
    • Coordinates, edits, and performs quality control for publisher metadata including validation standards and feeds
    • Provides ongoing training to new publishers on how to enter, access, and optimize CoreSource metadata
    • Researches best practices to ensure product metadata meets industry standards; performs updates to our systems to align with changes to BISAC codes and other BISG standards
    • Troubleshoots data distribution issues to ensure required metadata fields have been populated, correcting any issues/errors and escalating when necessary
    • Participates in regular internal business reviews for key stakeholders and/or clients

    Hiring Salary Range: $60,870k - $75,645k. This range represents the anticipated low and high end of the salary for this position. It will be determined by factors including but not limited to: the applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, geographic location, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
