We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Metal/Material Lab Technician to join our team.

Responsibilities

• Conduct tests on various metals and materials to determine their properties and performance.
• Prepare samples for analysis, including cutting, polishing, and mounting.
• Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, ensuring accuracy and safety.
• Document test results and prepare reports for review by engineering and management teams.
• Collaborate with engineers and other technicians to troubleshoot material-related issues.
• Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized lab environment.
• Stay updated on industry standards and advancements in materials testing techniques.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Materials Science, Metallurgy, or a related field preferred.
• Experience in a laboratory setting, particularly with metal and material testing.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Familiarity with laboratory equipment and testing procedures.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and lab management software.

Salary info:

$21 - $24 / hr
