    The Meter Technician performs inspections, installations, repairs, cleaning, maintenance and testing of parking meters. They are also required to make the necessary programming adjustments to all parking equipment.

    JOB CODITIONS :

    Job site conditions may be hazardous at times. You'll be responsible for keeping up with the latest safety measures and ensuring they're in place for the benefit of the public and all crew members. You may have extensive contact with the public and will be responsible for keeping accurate records of your investigations, job performance and results.

    Job _ Responsibilities_ :

    • Complete reports on meter repairs, installation, or maintenance
    • Report existing or potential work hazards
    • Document ALL field activities
    • Responsible for proper check in/out of property, including tools, uniforms and vehicles
    • Complete all required paperwork and reports in a timely and accurately manner
    • Present daily reports as assigned, detailing service performance
    • Maintain clean and tidy work area
    • Perform other duties as assigned

    JOB REQUIRMENTS

    Education and Experience:

    • High School Diploma or its equivalency
    • Valid Class E Driver's License and clean driving history

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

    • Knowledge of City streets
    • Knowledge of traffic safety rules and safety rules related to the operation of a vehicle
    • Ability to walk for an extended period of time
    • Ability to exercise good judgement and tact in tenuous situations
    • Ability to perform all the physical requirements of the position.

    T echnical Skills:

    • Strong time management and organizational skills
    • Basic PC knowledge and familiarity with electronic equipment
    • Great communication skills (verbal and written)
    • High level of accuracy, speed, and data entry skills
    • Attention to details
    • Ability to relate well with others and work in a team environment
    • Ability to work under pressure
    • Self-motivated with the ability to work unsupervised
