HIGH LEVEL OVERVIEW
The Mexico Trade Compliance Manager will lead the business unit trade compliance program overseeing and ensuring compliance with all applicable trade laws, regulations, and company policies related to import and export activities in Mexico.
The position will work closely with the Global Trade Compliance COE.
This is a hybrid position for candidates in the Reynosa, Mexico area
EXPECTATIONS
Champion trade compliance optimization and efficiency
Manage Country of Origin and valuation programs
Drive trade compliance strategy
Build operational procedures and training to support Mexican trade activities
Conduct audit and risk assessments, develop mitigation action plans
Monitor changes in Mexican customs import and export regulations
Partner with other trade compliance groups across the organization at various levels
Lead cross-functional projects to support trade compliance policies and procedures
Foster a strong culture for team collaboration and development
ESSENTIALS
Solid understanding of Customs regulations including HS Classification, Free Trade Agreements, and Export Compliance
Strong knowledge of Mexican customs brokerage clearance process and procedures
Bachelor’s Degree required
8 years’ Trade Compliance experience with 2 years’ team leadership experience
SAP GTS Experience preferred
Data and analytic skills
Ability to self-organize and lead in a matrix organization with multiple business units
