JOB SUMMARY
Apply your advanced knowledge of business methods to analyze and direct all functions relating to specific projects. Working in all the departments of our company, understanding the operations of Miami Cordage and challenging us to be ready for the new generation of our business strategies.
Performs a broad range of tasks working directly under CEO, which includes production planning, implementation, understanding customer designs, direct customer interactions, training of processes and inventory control.
OPERATIONS SPECIALIST RESPONSIBILITIES
- Communicate with customers daily, regarding order status.
- Coordinates with the Production Manager to understand weekly demand and completes the production requirements in a timely fashion.
- Maintain production procedures.
- Responsible for appropriate departmental documentation and maintains information in appropriate systems.
- Responsible for communicating and assisting in the implementation of changes in Manufacturing/Production process internally as required.
- Recommend cost savings opportunities based on material availability, shipping from vendors, and/or material substitutions.
- Participate in production meetings to communicate in advance material problems, offering alternatives and solutions.
- Coordinate the production, processing, distribution and marketing activities.
- Follow directions and adhere to deadlines when completing projects.
- Manage calendars, memos, and email lists.
- Communicate changes to the various production departments new and /or revised raw materials, components and subassemblies.
- Assist Shipping & Receiving Department as and when required.
OPERATIONS SPECIALIST REQUIREMENTS
- BA/BS degree in business or related field is required, Masters is preferred.
- Communication in English is required, Spanish is also preferred but not required.
- Training or experience in manufacturing industry is preferred.
- Experience in Technical/Microsoft Excel/Content Writing.
- Capabilities in planning, organization, integration, and control with respect to material planning function.
- Strong critical thinking, analytical, interpersonal, presentation, logical reasoning, multi-tasking and problem-solving skills.
- Strong zeal to work in different environmental conditions.
- Proficient in Microsoft 365.
- Physical Requirements; reading, sitting, and occasional lifting up to 50 LBS.
