    POSITION SUMMARY:

    As Product Owner at NexTraq, you will collaborate cross-departmentally with Sales, Engineering, Test, Design, and Marketing, supporting the business in the execution and delivery of solutions to NexTraq’s customers and partners.

    PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Work closely with Product Marketing and Technology Leads to understand business objectives and drive results 
    • Conduct end user research to help identify user stories and help determine Minimum Viable Product (MVP)
    • Define the goals and roadmap for the product based on the strategic vision and communicate with the stakeholders
    • Work cross-functionally with other team members and groups to identify dependencies, plan initiatives, and deliver on larger product goals
    • Ensure product is aligned with company, stakeholder and end user priorities to drive sales, improve efficiency, and improve customer satisfaction
    • Facilitate breaking down product requirements into initiatives, epics, stories, and tasks
    • Act as the backlog representative and leader of multiple Agile development teams
    • Participates in standups, iteration planning sessions, product demos and retrospectives
    • Drive value from team meetings, ceremonies, and cadence
    • Own the prioritization and sequencing of the backlog to align with road-maps and company strategy
    • Participate in acceptance testing and ensure relevant stakeholders do the same
    • Think creatively and analytically to help team members solve challenges and create high quality deliverables
    • Accept completed user stories to make sure the work fulfills the criteria
    • Lead the planning, coordination and launch of multiple software products 
    • Work with sprint teams to manage sprints and remove roadblocks
    • Ensure quality of products and timely release of products
    • Visit key customers and partners to ensure feedback is factored into the roadmap

    REQUIREMENTS:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Math or similar major
    • 6+ years of relevant experience in software development industry
    • Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment
    • Excellent organization and communication skills
    • Experience in product management and project management
    • A portfolio illustrating delivered products and examples of the tools and methodologies used
    • Knowledge of IoT, cloud computing, or SaaS a plus 
    • Certified Scrum Product Owner a plus
    • Scaled Agile training or certifications a plus
    • Experience of using Agile tools a plus (Jira, Confluence, VersionOne, Rally, etc.)
