    Position

    We are looking for a Virtual Micro-learning Designer and Video Producer, who is also an instructional designer. You have a proven background working across organizational, process or technology projects for clients undergoing transformational change. You will be part of an existing Nimble team already working with the client.

    Requirements for the Nimble team:

    • Consultant is: already residing in the San Francisco Bay Area or lives in CA (west coast) and willing to travel to be onsite as needed for video footage capture, workshops, etc.
    • Flexible in how we contract (Corp to Corp, 1099 or Temporary W2) as necessary
    • Have 2 strong client references that you can provide as part of the interview process
    • Be available to start work in March 2025 part-time; and 100% from April - December 2025
    • Must be available for meetings during client office hours (Pacific time) typically 8am-5pm , with flexibility as needed.
    • Work is 70% remote, 30% onsite at client offices in Oakland and San Ramon, California;~4-6 days per month (can fluctuate).
    • Able to do video production (e.g., Camtasia, Canva); Note: Client has Camtasia that you can obtain through the client Citrix environment.
    • Experience with virtual e-learning tools (e.g. Adobe Creative Suite - Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe Captivate)

    Important! This is a transformation project. If you have other clients that may interfere with your availability during the work week per above requirements, please do not apply to this role. (Failure to disclose other clients where your availability may be affected will result in immediate termination of the contract.)

    • Note: The client site location is considered the ‘office location’, therefore the daily commute to client site location from your home will not be reimbursable from a mileage perspective.

    ** Key Responsibilities**

    • Quickly come up to speed on Nimble team scope and roles, client scope, and work completed to date

    • Virtual micro-learning need(s) :Design and deliver video or SharePoint website content that will be a combination of: * A) general information push (about the program, leadership messages) and * B) technical 'art of the possible' videos

    • Develop a Strategy for continuous onboarding for the program (redesign existing collateral)

    • Develop a Strategy for continued micro-learning during our Awareness phase of the program

    • Develop mock-ups of proposed website/SharePoint pages or storyboards to be reviewed with Nimble team, then client leads

    • Develop a detailed content development plan with clear owners, timelines, dependencies, etc.

    • Drive review cycles with SMEs and coordinate logistics for delivery.

    • You are technology forward : Able to edit and maintain SharePoint pages for the project team (update content, correct links and administratively maintain the site), collaborate and whiteboard using Mural or Miro, can update tasks weekly in Jira, and design in Mentimeter or similar tools.

    ** Requirements**

    • You are an independent consultant with a minimum of 10 years of experience, preferably across a wide range of commercial clients and users.

    • You are comfortable with leading projects on your own with minimal or no guidance. We look for contractors that can round out project needs as they arise.

    • Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment

    • You can analyze business and end-user needs and recommend appropriate learning solutions that include the following:

      • Identify, design, and deliver micro-learning and training solutions for a variety of internal and external coworkers.
      • Experience developing a portfolio of deliverables (learning objectives, plan, job aids, online tools, FAQs, surveys, etc.).
    • Demonstrated experience developing technical content into intuitive learning for a variety of computer and web-based delivery channels:

      • Web-based content management and authoring tools such as Camtasia, Storyline, Captivate or other software.
      • Recent experience developing role-based training or videos for microlearning opportunities
      • Document user workflows as they relate to the content you are developing for various audiences for awareness purposes
      • Demonstrated experience delivering on virtual learning methods: mobile app training, eLearning, live webinars, and videos on how to learn new technologies or processes.
    • Excellent writing skills with demonstrated ability to research content, and to present complex information clearly.

    • Excellent interpersonal skills - ability to work with team members across various vendors and Subject Matter Experts,

    • Technically adept with Word, PowerPoint, Excel, screen capture, Snagit, recording, and web-based content management and authoring tools.

    ** Preferred Experience**

    • Experience working in the utility sector
    • Experience operating under a multi-year transformational change (tech, process, organizational changes).
    • Recent experience delivering technical training such as webinars that were either led or hosted by the instructor.
    • Ability to explain and apply training frameworks: ADDIE, Instructional Systems Design (ISD), etc.
