Analyst I - Environmental Extractions

To perform phlebotomy and obtain samples for various laboratory tests.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• To perform phlebotomy and obtain samples for various laboratory tests. • To receive specimens in the LIS and triage specimens to the appropriate sections within the laboratory. • To answer the telephone and provide laboratory results upon request to physicians and physician offices. • To perform urine drug screen testing. • To package/send specimens for reference laboratory testing. • To perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Required Skills
MINIMUM EDUCATION:
• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Completion of a recognized phlebotomy program, medical office or related program preferred.
• Certification by a national accrediting agency preferred.
Required Experience
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE:
• A minimum of one year work experience as a phlebotomist or medical assistant preferred.
MINIMUM EDUCATION:
• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Completion of a recognized phlebotomy program, medical office or related program preferred.
• Certification by a national accrediting agency preferred.
