Microsoft & Azure SME – DoD Projects

We are seeking a highly skilled Microsoft & Azure Subject Matter Expert (SME) to lead cloud infrastructure design, implementation, and security for DoD-related projects. The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure and enterprise Microsoft technologies , including Active Directory, Windows Server, and M365. Due to the nature of our work with the Department of Defense (DoD), a Secret clearance is required.

Key Responsibilities:

• Architect, deploy, and manage secure, scalable solutions on Microsoft Azure.

• Provide technical leadership and strategic guidance for Azure cloud adoption, migration, and optimization.

• Design and implement Microsoft enterprise solutions , including Active Directory, M365, Windows Server, and SCCM/Intune.

• Ensure compliance with DoD security standards , including FedRAMP, NIST, and Zero Trust Architecture.

• Troubleshoot and resolve complex Microsoft and Azure-related issues.

• Mentor and provide training to internal teams on Microsoft and Azure best practices.

Qualifications:

• Required Certifications:

*  **Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert** or **Azure Administrator Associate**

*  **Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate** (preferred)

*  **Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert** (preferred)

• Proven experience as a Microsoft & Azure SME, working with large-scale cloud and enterprise IT environments.

• Expert knowledge of Azure networking, identity management (Azure AD), and security.

• Strong background in Microsoft enterprise solutions , including Windows Server, Active Directory, M365, and automation (PowerShell, Terraform, Bicep, or ARM templates).

• Familiarity with DoD security and compliance frameworks.

• Secret clearance required.

• Preferred experience as an Air Force Microsoft Engineer or similar DoD IT role.
