    Job Description:

    TQI Solutions is seeking a motivated and skilled Junior to Mid-Level Database Administrator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have at least three years of experience in database administration and be proficient in a variety of technical environments. You will be responsible for maintaining and administering database applications, ensuring data integrity, and providing operational support.     This position is in Norfolk, VA and is contingent upon contract award.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Conduct requirements analysis, design, develop, and administer database applications.

    • Provide operational support for computer hardware, system software, applications software, and system/user data files within the associated database system.

    • Maintain the integrity of all user/system data files, ensuring proper data verification following system recovery and data format conversion during import/export.

    • Generate reports and provide printout support for databases.

    • Assist in the development of operating procedures and user technical manuals for various database systems (e.g., Oracle, Sybase, Informix).

    • Implement and manage relational databases.

    • Develop and implement applications in a microcomputer environment.

    • Provide database reporting and manage information with database management systems.

    • Ensure a thorough understanding of IA/IO concepts and A&A processes.

    Minimum Experience Requirements:

    • At least three (3) years of experience in database administration, including:
    • Designing, developing, and administering database applications.
    • Supporting database operational systems (e.g., Oracle, Sybase, Informix).
    • Conducting data verification and maintenance of user/system files.
    • Developing reports and managing data.
    • Providing operational support for various database systems.

    Technical Skills:

    • Hands-on experience with SharePoint 2010 and newer versions.
    • Proficient with Microsoft Access 2010 and newer.
    • Working knowledge of database management systems, including Oracle, Sybase, and Informix.
    • Experience in IT hardware/software installation and administration, including:
    • Microsoft Windows Operating Systems, Visual Studio.NET 2008, SharePoint, Oracle Enterprise Manager, SQL, JavaScript, XML, and ColdFusion.
    • Administering IT hardware such as Dell/HP server hardware, SAN, LTO Tape Library, and NetApp Storage Hardware.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Knowledge of IA/IO concepts and A&A processes.
    • Familiarity with jQuery, JavaScript, HTML, VBA, and other web technologies.
    • Experience with RedHat, Tomcat, Apache, Storage Manager Server, and other software and server tools.
    • Ability to lift and maneuver up to 50 pounds of hardware and accessories.
    • Must have or be able to obtain a security clearance up to the TOP SECRET level.

    Education Requirements:

    • Bachelor's Degree in an IT-related discipline and at least three (3) years of relevant experience,
    • OR
    • Five (5) years of relevant experience without a degree.

    The incumbent of this position will be subject to a background investigation and will be required to maintain a Government granted security clearance.
