    Location: Manhattan, NY
    Salary: Up to $150,000 (Flexible based on experience)

    About the Role

    A well-established engineering firm is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join its collaborative and growing NYC team. This position is ideal for an experienced mechanical engineer with a strong MEP background, particularly in infrastructure-focused projects over new vertical construction. The candidate will be responsible for managing multiple projects, mentoring junior engineers, and ensuring high-quality design and project execution.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Design HVAC systems, including ductwork, piping, and equipment specifications.
    • Perform HVAC load calculations, duct and pipe sizing, and other technical assessments.
    • Develop construction documents, including design drawings and project specifications.
    • Conduct site visits to verify existing conditions, gather data, and oversee construction progress.
    • Lead and mentor a team of engineers, designers, and drafters.

    Minimum Qualifications

    • BS in Mechanical Engineering
    • 5+ years of experience in designing and managing MEP projects.
    • Familiarity with retrofit projects and infrastructure design.
    • Experience managing multiple construction projects simultaneously of varying sizes and types.
    • Experience overseeing direct reports and mentoring junior engineers.
    • Strong understanding of sequence of operations and controls design.
    • Experience with AutoCAD required; Revit is a plus.

      Work Environment & Schedule

      • In-office requirement: First 6 months fully on-site (5 days/week), then hybrid (4 days in-office, 1 remote).
      • No travel required.
      • Candidates must be located within commuting distance of Manhattan
