Wage and Hour Litigation Attorney – Associate or Of Counsel
Location: Denver, CO
Our client, a well-respected law firm, is seeking an experienced Associate or Of Counsel to join their Wage and Hour Litigation team in Denver. This is an outstanding opportunity for an attorney with 4+ years of experience to step into a key role handling significant client-facing work. The firm is open to considering non-partner track candidates for this position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Represent clients in wage and hour class and collective actions under the Colorado Wage Act and the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA)
- Interpret and apply guidance from the Colorado Department of Labor and Employment (CDLE) and the U.S. Department of Labor’s Wage and Hour Division (DOL WHD)
- Draft and respond to initial pleadings and discovery requests
- Prepare and argue motions, including motions to decertify a conditional class
- Take and defend depositions
Qualifications:
- 4+ years of litigation experience, with a strong focus on wage and hour class and collective actions
- Expertise in state and federal wage and hour laws, including experience interpreting relevant regulations and guidance materials
- Strong legal writing and motion practice skills
- Experience handling discovery, depositions, and class decertification motions
- Ability to work independently and manage complex litigation matters
