    Position: Mid-Tier Systems Engineer (Tier 2)

    Description: CNR Technologies is seeking a talented Mid-Tier Systems Engineer (Tier 2) to join our dynamic team. In this role, you’ll provide high-level technical support to our clients, handling more complex issues and acting as an escalation point for Tier 1 engineers. You will resolve a variety of technical issues and deliver support through multiple channels, including onsite visits, remote assistance, and phone support.     Responsibilities for Mid-Tier (Tier 2) Engineers:

    Resolving client issues related to domain, email, printing, imaging computers and laptops, account setup, and server management

    Providing support via onsite visits, remote assistance, and phone support

    Traveling to client locations for issue resolution, primarily in Woodstock and surrounding areas, with occasional travel beyond this region

    Completing mid-level projects and tasks from start to finish

    Acting as an escalation point for Tier 1 engineers

    Assisting other engineers as needed and providing guidance

    Learning and implementing new technologies as required

    Documenting processes, multitasking, and effectively managing priorities in a fast-paced environment

    Demonstrating flexibility and the ability to adapt to changing tasks quickly

    Supporting the team and contributing to the company's growth with a hands-on approach

    Skills and Requirements for Mid-Tier (Tier 2) Engineers:

    CompTIA certification preferred (A+, Network+, Security+, etc.)

    Experience resolving technical issues on Windows platforms (Printers, Outlook, Office, etc.)

    Ability to communicate clearly with clients on technical issues, expectations, and results

    3-5 years of experience with Windows systems and networking, preferably with various technologies and equipment

    Familiarity with Windows Server (2016 and later), including AD, DHCP, DNS, RDS, and more

    Understanding of networking concepts (VLANs, routing tables, VPNs, etc.)

    Experience with firewalls (e.g., pfSense, Fortigate, Sophos, Sonicwall)

    Ability to work additional hours as needed (with potential compensation for after-hours work)

    Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with clients

    Experience in customer-facing roles preferred

    Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and CRM software is a plus

    Self-starter with the ability to work independently and manage projects or tickets with appropriate deadlines
