    Job Description

    We are looking for a Part-Time Campus Aide with the ability to engage and support all students in an inclusive environment. Campus Aides create safe and organized environments for play-based activities, recreation, and mealtimes while also supporting and co-planning with teachers.

    Role:

    Campus Aides are responsible for providing supervision of students in grades 6-8 during breakfast, nutrition, recess and lunch and facilitating structured outdoor play while also supporting teachers and leading small group interventions.

    The Campus Aide must be committed to preserving the mission, vision, and educational philosophy of the school. This includes collaborating with the school community to maintain a positive learning environment promoting values such as respect, safety, mutual support, motivation, and personal growth.

    Hourly Pay Range: $18.00 - $20.00.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Co-plan with teachers to design effective and targeted instruction during intervention periods.
    • Collect data during intervention cycles to help the team adjust targeted instruction
    • Support a sustainable classroom management system to create a positive environment.
    • Utilize restorative practices when responding to behavior and help lead restorative meetings between students
    • Work with students in small groups or one-on-one to provide differentiated support and guidance.
    • Support implementation of student assessments with guidance from teachers
    • Supervise students during passing periods, nutrition and lunch
    • Support arrival and/or dismissal procedures.
    • Proactively respond to needs and situations with a sense of urgency and responsibility
    • Enforce school behavior standards (caring, safety, responsibility, respect and tolerance) while supervising student activity.
    • With your team co-create monthly DAME 5 reinforcement systems during lunch and nutrition and implement them with students.
    • Support student development of social emotional competencies
    • Assist students in meeting their instructional goals, including those identified on an Individual Education Plan (IEP) or 504 Plan for students with special needs.
    • Welcome open inquiry, feedback and review.
    • Attend required trainings, staff development and team meetings
    • Discuss future career plans in education and explore opportunities for growth with MLC Leadership.
    • Perform other duties, as assigned by supervisor, Middle School Director
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • Bilingual in Spanish and English preferred, but not necessary.
    • An AA or BA from a post-secondary school or high school diploma with experience in a school environment, is desired.
    • Experience working with middle school students.
    • TB Test clearance & DOJ finger printing clearance.
