HEAVYCRAFT is looking for dedicated and skilled Millwrights to join our team. This role involves supporting projects on an active mine site. This is a great opportunity to work in a fast-paced, hands-on environment in the mining industry!
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, and repair industrial machinery and mechanical equipment, including conveyors, pumps, motors, and hydraulic systems.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical diagrams, and schematics to ensure accurate assembly and installation.
- Diagnose mechanical issues using precision measuring tools and troubleshoot problems to minimize downtime.
- Perform preventative maintenance and inspections to ensure machinery operates efficiently and safely.
- Align and calibrate machinery components to manufacturer specifications using lasers, dial indicators, and other alignment tools.
- Operate welding and fabrication equipment to modify or repair parts as needed.
- Work closely with engineers, electricians, and other tradespeople to complete projects efficiently.
- Follow all safety regulations, lockout/tagout procedures, and company policies to maintain a safe work environment.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and document repairs or modifications performed.
- Assist with equipment upgrades, relocations, and new installations as required.
Requirements:
- At least 3 years of Millwright experience.
- Ability to work in a physically demanding role, including lifting heavy objects and standing for extended periods.
- Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Strong commitment to workplace safety and teamwork.
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently when needed.
- Must have a valid drivers license.
- Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening (required for mine site access).
- Willingness to work extended hours, shifts, and occasional weekends as required by site operations.
- Ability to live in a man camp for up to 21 days at a time.
