  • Responsibilities

    HEAVYCRAFT is looking for dedicated and skilled Millwrights to join our team. This role involves supporting projects on an active mine site. This is a great opportunity to work in a fast-paced, hands-on environment in the mining industry!

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Install, maintain, and repair industrial machinery and mechanical equipment, including conveyors, pumps, motors, and hydraulic systems.
    • Read and interpret blueprints, technical diagrams, and schematics to ensure accurate assembly and installation.
    • Diagnose mechanical issues using precision measuring tools and troubleshoot problems to minimize downtime.
    • Perform preventative maintenance and inspections to ensure machinery operates efficiently and safely.
    • Align and calibrate machinery components to manufacturer specifications using lasers, dial indicators, and other alignment tools.
    • Operate welding and fabrication equipment to modify or repair parts as needed.
    • Work closely with engineers, electricians, and other tradespeople to complete projects efficiently.
    • Follow all safety regulations, lockout/tagout procedures, and company policies to maintain a safe work environment.
    • Maintain accurate maintenance records and document repairs or modifications performed.
    • Assist with equipment upgrades, relocations, and new installations as required.

    Requirements:

    • At least 3 years of Millwright experience.
    • Ability to work in a physically demanding role, including lifting heavy objects and standing for extended periods.
    • Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
    • Strong commitment to workplace safety and teamwork.
    • Ability to follow instructions and work independently when needed.
    • Must have a valid drivers license.
    • Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening (required for mine site access).
    • Willingness to work extended hours, shifts, and occasional weekends as required by site operations.
    • Ability to live in a man camp for up to 21 days at a time.
