Our client, an innovative leader in sustainability and community revitalization, is seeking a skilled Millwright to join their team. The Millwright will support our clients' mission of converting food waste into renewable energy and creating local green jobs while advancing environmental resilience within the community.
The Millwright will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing industrial machinery and equipment, ensuring optimal functionality and minimizing downtime through proactive maintenance and troubleshooting.
Responsibilities:
Install, assemble, align, and maintain a range of machinery and equipment, such as pumps, tanks, screens, filtration systems, and tow motors.
Diagnose and repair electrical systems between 24V and 480V, coordinating with electricians as needed.
Conduct repairs and preventive maintenance on hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues in industrial control systems, drawing on expertise in computer logic, programming, and control drives.
Handle welding (MIG and stick), fabrication, and rigging tasks for machinery repairs or installations, working with malleable and stainless materials.
Maintain and repair interior and exterior lighting systems, adhering to safety standards.
Inspect, diagnose, and quickly address complex machinery issues to minimize downtime.
Collaborate with cross-functional trades, such as electricians, to address multifaceted plant issues.
Operate hoisting and rigging equipment safely to move heavy machinery.
Adhere to all safety protocols, including PPE use, and maintain detailed logs of maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment status.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent (required); technical training in millwrighting or mechanical fields (preferred)
Millwright certification or apprenticeship (preferred)
10+ years of millwright experience in large production or industrial settings
Strong mechanical and electrical skills, with experience in 24V to 480V systems
Proficient in interpreting blueprints and technical schematics
Hands-on experience with pumps, filtration systems, and industrial machinery
Skilled in welding, fabrication, and rigging
Knowledge of computer logic and control systems
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Ability to work in confined spaces, at heights, and lift heavy machinery
Compensation:
Base salary to 45.00/hour
