    JOB DESCRIPTION

    Minnesota Exteriors is searching for high achieving individuals who want to work with the best of the best. We are seeking a self-motivated, and organized Exterior Sales Representative to join our expanding team. The focus for this position is to provide customers with the best customer service, and experience during their unique moments of need.

    This includes lead development, door knocking, and performing storm damage inspections. Customers will include homeowners, insurance agents, townhome associations, and business managers. You will work with your customer’s insurance company through the approval process. Once the claim is approved, you will coordinate project design and materials with your customer, ensuring every part of the process is completed accurately and in a timely manner. By conducting thorough home inspections, working with insurance agents, providing a multitude of materials for home owners to choose from, and expert installers to complete their restorations, this allows us to provide customers with the satisfaction expected from an MEI experience.

    MEI leverages its 75+ years of experience and over 750,000 completed projects to provide substantial office support to our sales staff. Our CSR team will support you so you are not bogged down with office duties nor project management, but instead can stay focused on selling and bringing in new business.

    Experience in outside sales, insurance claims, and door to door canvassing can be extremely beneficial, but it is not a must. If you are willing to learn, take action, and are self-motivated, we will provide the training and support for you to have a successful career in sales and insurance restoration.

    TRAINING

    Training level is based on current experience. Our comprehensive sales training program, for those new to the industry, is one of the reasons our representatives have industry leading earnings. Components of the training program include:

    • Technical training on roofing, siding, and window materials and installation
    • Technical training on specialty roofing systems
    • Lead generation training
    • Commercial and big-ticket opportunity development
    • Sales strategy
    • The insurance process and how to negotiate and win with insurance companies
    • Technology and how to leverage it to achieve top sales
    • Field training and apprenticeship
    • Mentorship from top producers

    REQUIREMENTS

    • Self-motivated sales to residential and commercial customers
    • Complete exterior inspection for storm damage
    • Ability to climb ladders and safely be on roofs
    • Have a valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
    • Ability to learn and efficiently operate sales CRM and MS Office software
    • Focus on insurance restoration; selling roofing systems, siding, gutters, and windows to homeowners affected by weather related damage to their homes
    • Meet with community homeowners and property managers who have been affected by storm damage, make them aware of the situation, and, assist them in getting proper repairs through knowledge and training in the insurance process
    • Educate homeowners through the entire insurance process
    • Maintain customer relationship management, lead tracking software, and update client information daily
    • Bring a positive attitude, self-motivation, and an eagerness to learn
