GENERAL PURPOSE: The position assists the Marketing Manager in the development and operations involving branding, communications, marketing, and messaging for the Minot Park District. This position assists the Marketing Manager in the development and execution of campaigns, digital marketing, website and all other mediums for marketing. This position assists with the promotion and execution of events, programming and activities by the Minot Park District.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Incumbent(s) may not be required to perform all duties listed and may be required to perform additional, position-specific duties.
- Assists in external and internal marketing strategies, marketing communications, and public relations activities with the Minot Park District and its entities.
- Assist in creating and distributing news releases to various media.
- Assist in submitting articles and event information to local publications, tourist/trade magazines and industry publications.
- Assist other departments to promote the overall mission of the Minot Park District.
- Assist in updating and maintaining Minot Park District website.
- Update and maintain Minot Park District App in coordination with Apple and Google Play.
- Assist in creating and implementing online marketing and promotions through social media.
- Assist in organizing Special event marketing and promotion: Assist in planning special events such as the Fourth of July Festival and Live at Oak Park. As well as taking photos/videos at various events, creating and placing posters at various facilities. (evenings & weekends)
- Assist in creating and producing graphics for events and social media promotions.
- Performs other duties as assigned or required.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and Experience:
- Completion of High School Degree is required. Pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in related field such as :Business Administration, Marketing, Management and or Public Relations.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE OR CERTIFICATIONS:
- Must possess a valid North Dakota Driver's License.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE OF:
- Principles and practices of marketing and public relations
- Graphic Design software and applications
- Computer knowledge and ability to maximize available computer resources and programs.
REQUIRED SKILL IN:
- Verbal and written communication
- Answering incoming calls and providing customer service to the public.
- Ability to multi-task effectively in a fast-paced environment
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Work is performed in a standard office environment.
- Position duties may require evening and weekend work. Must be able to lift and carry objects up to 30 1bs.
