Job Description

We are seeking a Pre-school Montessori Teacher to join our organization! This individual will be apart of planning and assisting in daily activities for children.

This is NOT a daycare/babysitting position.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assist and Instruct preschool-aged children in activities designed to promote intellectual and creative growth using the Montessori philosophy
• Create a fun and safe learning environment
• Working cooperatively with Lead Teacher
• Assist in keeping the daily schedules and routines to ensure adequate physical activity, rest, and playtime
• Establish and maintain positive relationships with students, parents, and staff
• Keeping the classroom organized, clean, and a fun environment
• Maintain the health and safety of all students

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Montessori certification is required or 2+ years of experience in a Montessori setting
• Education in Early Childhood development is desirable
• Previous experience in childcare, teaching, or other related fields
• Passionate about working with children
• Ability to build rapport with children and staff
• Positive and patient demeanor
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Flexible demeanor
