We are seeking a mechanically inclined, motivated individual to join our team as a Mobile Equipment Installation & Operations Technician. This is a long-term, full-time role based in Rock Hill, SC — but will require an initial 4-6 week paid training and truck build period in Charleston, SC. During this time, you will assist in converting one of our specialized trucks from a drying unit into a blending unit for polychemical materials.
PolyClean will provide hotel accommodations during training, a weekly stipend, and you will have the ability to return home on weekends.
Once the build-out is complete, you will transition to an operations role at a customer site in Rock Hill, SC.
Training & Truck Build Period (4-6 weeks in Charleston, SC):
Assist in the mechanical and electrical build-out of a new mobile blending unit
Install and assemble pneumatic, mechanical, and conduit systems
Collaborate with technicians and supervisors to ensure quality and safety standards
Follow electrical schematics and mechanical diagrams
Long-Term Role (Rock Hill, SC):
Operate and maintain the mobile blending unit at our customer's site
Conduct routine inspections, preventative maintenance, and basic repairs
Monitor material blending quality and ensure adherence to specifications
Complete shift reports, maintenance logs, and operational documentation
Follow all company and customer safety protocols
Strong mechanical aptitude with experience in pneumatics, electrical conduit installation, or industrial equipment maintenance
Problem-solver with a keen eye for detail
Self-motivated and capable of working independently
Professional and dependable, with strong communication skills
Willing and able to travel temporarily for training/build period
3+ years of experience in a mechanical, industrial, or maintenance technician role
Basic electrical knowledge, including reading schematics and working with conduit
Experience with pneumatic systems and industrial equipment assembly
Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform physical tasks in an industrial environment
Clean background check (mandatory)
Valid driver's license
Welding, fabrication, or machining experience
Forklift certification
Experience in plastics, manufacturing, or blending operations
