Position Overview:

We are seeking a mechanically inclined, motivated individual to join our team as a Mobile Equipment Installation & Operations Technician. This is a long-term, full-time role based in Rock Hill, SC — but will require an initial 4-6 week paid training and truck build period in Charleston, SC. During this time, you will assist in converting one of our specialized trucks from a drying unit into a blending unit for polychemical materials.

PolyClean will provide hotel accommodations during training, a weekly stipend, and you will have the ability to return home on weekends.
Once the build-out is complete, you will transition to an operations role at a customer site in Rock Hill, SC.

Key Responsibilities:

Training & Truck Build Period (4-6 weeks in Charleston, SC):

• Assist in the mechanical and electrical build-out of a new mobile blending unit

• Install and assemble pneumatic, mechanical, and conduit systems

• Collaborate with technicians and supervisors to ensure quality and safety standards

• Follow electrical schematics and mechanical diagrams

Long-Term Role (Rock Hill, SC):

• Operate and maintain the mobile blending unit at our customer's site

• Conduct routine inspections, preventative maintenance, and basic repairs

• Monitor material blending quality and ensure adherence to specifications

• Complete shift reports, maintenance logs, and operational documentation

• Follow all company and customer safety protocols

Ideal Candidate Profile:

• Strong mechanical aptitude with experience in pneumatics, electrical conduit installation, or industrial equipment maintenance

• Problem-solver with a keen eye for detail

• Self-motivated and capable of working independently

• Professional and dependable, with strong communication skills

• Willing and able to travel temporarily for training/build period

Required Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience in a mechanical, industrial, or maintenance technician role

• Basic electrical knowledge, including reading schematics and working with conduit

• Experience with pneumatic systems and industrial equipment assembly

• Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform physical tasks in an industrial environment

• Clean background check (mandatory)

• Valid driver's license

Preferred Qualifications:

• Welding, fabrication, or machining experience

• Forklift certification

• Experience in plastics, manufacturing, or blending operations
