General Accountabilities · Partner with the Mobile Medical Unit’s provider to educate patients and accurately dispense medications. · Assist the doctor in cost-effective procurement of medications and equipment from reputable suppliers. · Pharmacist shall be responsible to take appropriate action for Bio Medical wastage management with doctor in-charge. · Pharmacist shall manage efficiently the pharmacy and medical equipment including medication orders, storage conditions, and overall inventory management best practices. · Ensure all supplies and equipment are ready for daily activities and scheduled clinics. · Demonstrate effective communication skills by conveying necessary health information accurately, listening effectively and asking questions when clarification is needed. · Follow best practices with workflow to ensure accurate, efficient and timely completion of scheduled clinics and associated tasks. · Meet all productivity requirements in expected time frame or deadline. · Demonstrate initiative and strive to continually improve processes and relationships. · Follow pharmacy operational requirements by organizing and directing technicians' and assigned students workflow, verifying preparation and labeling of prescribed medications, and ensuring regulatory compliance of mobile pharmacy unit. · Educate and train pharmacy staff of current events or any healthcare related news to continue to instill trust within the communities served. · Comply with state and federal drug laws as regulated by the state board of pharmacy, the drug enforcement administration, and the food and drug administration by removing outdated and damaged drugs from the pharmacy inventory; supervising the work results of support personnel; maintaining current registration; studying existing and new legislation; anticipating legislation; advising management on needed actions. · Stay current and comply with all Medicare and HIPPA regulations. · Protect patients and technicians by adhering to infection-control protocols. · Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with all best practices surrounding procedures, rules, and regulations. · Maintain professional competencies by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies. · Document and report medication errors to Executive Director
Job Qualifications · 1 year of Retail Experience · Registered Pharmacist
· Great Customer Service Skills · A combination of training, education, and experience that is equivalent to the employment standard listed above and that provides the required knowledge, abilities, and license · Availability on a weekend Saturday, 8am-3pm 1st Saturday, or a 3rd Saturday · 4th Sunday, 1pm-5pm · Knowledge of QS/1 Software and or the willingness to learn
Skills the use and dispensing of narcotics and poisons , medical record keeping requirements and procedures, state and federal laws and regulations pertaining to the legal operation of a pharmacy, drugs, chemicals, and pharmaceutical supplies required in the operation of a pharmacy, pharmaceutical chemistry and manufacturing methods, the compounding of prescriptions and stock pharmaceutical preparations, Inventory control, Excellent verbal and written communication, Critical thinking, Instructing, Monitoring, Active listening Judgment and decision making, Management of personnel resources
