    OVERALL ROLE:

    The Mold Technician operates, calibrates, and maintains machinery, as well as inspects finished products to ensure quality work.

    Responsibilities:

    Insert and remove molds on injection molding machines.

    Properly set-up temperature, pneumatic, hydraulic, and other auxiliary equipment in preparation for production.

    Perform machine start-up, shut-down, color changes, on established processes.

    Perform daily mold preventative maintenance.

    Monitor and assess all auxiliary equipment for proper performance.

    Notify appropriate department of any substandard equipment.

    Communicate with the QA department to prevent nonconforming product.

    Perform minor mold, machine, and equipment troubleshooting.

    Qualifications:

    Minimum of two years of injection molding experience, including hanging molds, mold set-ups, and machine start-up.

    Possess functional knowledge of injection molding and machine processes.

    Capable of physical mobility including sitting, bending, twisting, standing, and lifting.

    Must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
