Mold Superintendent
We are seeking a Mold Superintendent to oversee all aspects of the Foundry Mold Department in a high-volume production environment. This role is responsible for ensuring efficient operations while maintaining high-quality standards, safety compliance, and production goals. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills and a deep understanding of electric melting processes, refractories, and operational best practices.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a team of Mold Supervisors to achieve production, quality, and safety objectives.
- Conduct quality and safety audits to support and enhance ISO-9001:2015 work procedures and policies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Engineering, Production Control, and Maintenance, to optimize manufacturing efficiency.
- Work closely with Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) teams to ensure compliance with applicable regulations.
- Utilize reports, data analysis, and technical resources to drive continuous improvement in mold operations.
Qualifications:
- Education: High School Diploma required; a Bachelor’s degree in Metallurgy, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field is preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years as a Mold Supervisor or Superintendent in a high-volume foundry, preferably within a unionized environment.
- Proven expertise in mold operations and working within an ISO-9001:2015 certified environment.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to build and foster teamwork across all levels of the organization.
