Responsibilities: • Maintain strong referral relationships with real estate agents and with mortgage lending sources/ mortgage bankers, gather up to date lending rate sheets and stay abreast of mortgage industry trends • Collaborate with the real estate agent, lender’s underwriting department, other mortgage professionals, and closing agent to ensure a smooth transaction • Complete loan application and submit on behalf of the borrowing applicant • Gather documents such as applicant’s credit history, income and employment verification, assets and liabilities, and background check to determine creditworthiness • Meet with potential applicants and buyers to determine each client’s specific lending or refinance needs Qualifications: • Current NMLS licensure or National Association of Mortgage Broker license or certification required • A bachelor’s degree is preferred in economics, business administration, banking, finance, or real estate law • Possess a strong understanding of mortgage products and loan process from origination to close • Requires 5 years of mortgage loan origination or loan officer experience • Superior time management, communication and analysis skills and independently resourceful Compensation: $150,000, at plan earnings.
