    NeighborWorks® Boise (NWB) is a local affordable housing nonprofit that helps Idahoans obtain, maintain, and retain housing. We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Mortgage Lending Manager to oversee our lending operations. Join us in providing innovative housing solutions for underserved communities!

    Primary Duties and Responsibilities: ********

    The Mortgage Lending Manager governs all NHS Lending operations including the loan origination system, compliance requirements, loan portfolio growth, and portfolio management. This position involves managing federal funds, down payment assistance programs, and fund oversight. This role assists with community outreach, partnership development, and managing financial resources to expand services. Reporting to the COO, the manager will supervise and assist with hiring 1-2 Loan officers for the department. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

    Loan Origination Process and Programs ****

    • Originate clients through the loan application process, evaluating financial status, credit, and property
    • Refine workflows for efficiency and improved client experiences
    • Manage compliance with federal, state, and NWB regulations
    • Leverage Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI) and NeighborWorks America (NWA) funds to sustain and grow loan programs
    • Oversee post-closing processes, compliance document accuracy, and client file maintenance
    • Monitor delinquencies and reconveyances
    • Build funding sources for NWB’s second mortgage activities through partnerships and grants
    • Foster referrals between Lending and other NWB departments

    Operations, Compliance amp; Reporting ** __**

    • Prepare budgets and collaborate on financial planning
    • Oversee audits and ensure compliance with grant guidelines
    • Monitor and safeguard loan documents and lending policies
    • Manage data collection and reporting for various programs and stakeholders
    • Ability to analyze, adjust, and design new processes to improve operational efficiency
    • Ensure timely license renewals for loan officers and NWB
    • Oversee loan originations, processed and closed in compliance with regulations, NeighborWorks® Boise (NHS Lending) policy guidelines, and as approved by the Lending Committee

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities ****

    • Advanced knowledge of mortgage loan programs and products, including conventional, FHA, VA, and USDA loans, as well as compliance regulations and federal lending standards
    • Proven experience managing funds, reporting, and meeting compliance requirements
    • Strong interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills, both verbal and written
    • Proficiency in loan origination systems and software (e.g., Encompass LOS, Microsoft Office Suite)
    • Ability to analyze, design, and refine operational processes for increased efficiency and effectiveness
    • Upholds confidentiality and professionalism
    • Bilingual in Spanish preferred, not required

    Education and Experience ****

    • Active NMLS and Idaho Originator’s License required
    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, with a minimum of five years in mortgage lending or related fields
    • 1-2 years of supervisory experience with a proven ability to lead and motivate a team
    • Comprehensive experience in mortgage lending, real estate transactions, affordable housing, or related field required

    Job Type: Full-time ********

    Compensation: Starting compensation of $69,000.00 or DOE (Fixed salary position, not commission-based). ****
