The successful applicant will have 5 years of experience with mortgage lending or origination and a proven track record of making matches between various lenders and borrowers. Responsibilities: • Collaborate with the real estate agent, lender’s underwriting department, other mortgage professionals, and closing agent to ensure a smooth transaction • Conduct a thorough interview to determine each applicant/ potential borrower’s specific lending or refinance needs • Obtain documentation to determine creditworthiness, such as background checks, applicant’s credit history, income and employment verification, and verification of assets and liabilities • Shop for competitive mortgage rates and interest rates, and negotiate terms with various lenders to find ideal mortgage lender for the applicant • Maintain strong referral relationships with real estate agents and with mortgage lending sources/ mortgage bankers, gather up to date lending rate sheets and stay abreast of mortgage industry trends Qualifications: • 5 years of mortgage loan origination or loan officer experience required • Bachelor’s degree preferred in real estate law, banking, finance, business administration, or economics • Previous experience with MS office and loan origination software • Superior time management, communication and analysis skills and independently resourceful • Have a strong understanding of loan products and loan process from origination to close Compensation: $150,000, at plan earnings.
