    Job Description

    The Post Closing Manager will lead and manage the Post Closing department by ensuring the completion of all departmental tasks. This includes generating regular reports to ensure departmental tasks and metrics are being achieved in a timely and accurate manner.

    This position reports out of the Sacramento Corporate Office but is offered as hybrid-remote or remote depending on experience and location. Will be required to work a West Coast Schedule, Monday through Friday, candidates should be available to work between the hours of 7am to 5pm PST

    This exempt role pays between $58,868 and $117,870 annually depending on experience and location.

    Top 3 Responsibilities and how you will be measured:

    1. Manage and oversee all aspects of the Post Closing department.

    Measurement: Ensure the timely and accurate completion of all departmental tasks with a 95% accuracy rate for metrics and errors.

    1. Implement and maintain systems and procedures for tracking and monitoring closed loans and delivery and purchase of loans by investors.

    Measurement: All Post Closing procedures, tasks, and policies captured, written, and posted on intranet. All policies must be current at a minimum of 90 days of current date.

    1. Work closely with the company’s investors, third-party vendors, and TPR firms to ensure loans are purchased within expiration dates, acceptable dwell times, and investor trailing docs requirements.
      Measurement: Ensure warehouse dwell times are under 30 days on all loans, investor lock expiration dates do not expire, and trailing documents commitments are fulfilled before due dates.

    Essential Duties of the Position:

    • Review and interpret compliance regulations that potentially affect business operations, with appropriate guidance from Compliance Counsel.
    • Perform risk analysis and make decisions regarding deficiencies identified during loan review process.
    • Pull reporting to verify that all loans are shipped within specified turn times as well as sold and insured within specific time frames.
    • Manage and follow up on all aged and suspended files.
    • Manage the escrow holdback process to ensure all escrow holdbacks are released properly.
    • Manage the final documents process to ensure that all documents are sent to the investors within investor specified time frames.
    • Manage and follow up on all Repurchase loans as well as any S&D recommendations.
    • Ensure all securitized pools are delivered and purchased within expiration dates.
    • Manage all internal post close checklists; ensuring they are current and up to date.
    • Collaborate with other departments to refine and improve processes and efficiencies.
    • Manage and supervise staff in fulfilling department tasks and projects.
    • Train and coach staff in fulfilling the goals of the department.
    • Other duties as assigned.
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • Must have 3-5 years of current or recent (within last 12 months) Post Closing management experience (overseeing a minimum of 4 direct reports) in Post Closing or related experience.
    • 2+ years’ experience with Non-QM products and investors preferred.
    • Must be familiar with FHA/ HUD Guidelines, VA guidelines, FNMA/Freddie Mac guidelines, and the ability to read and interpret investor Guidelines.
    • Must understand and comprehend the Mortgage Loan process through closing as well as underwriting systems.
    • Must have thorough working knowledge of real estate documentation, policies, compliance, and procedures.
    • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office and all applicable software programs.
    • Must have excellent written and oral communication skills.
    • Must have strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
    • Must have proven ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.
