We are currently seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Mortgage Pre-Underwriter (or as we call it, a Pre-Approval Manager) for our dynamic lending team. This position combines the skillset of a Mortgage Pre-Underwriter and a Loan Officer Assistant. You will be responsible for analyzing and verifying real estate loan applications while evaluating risks for pre-approvals. The ideal candidate will have several years of mortgage underwriting and/or processing experience, understand how to do income calculations, possess a can-do attitude, and have a proven track record of providing solutions in the mortgage lending industry. Responsibilities: • Effectively guide clients through the Pre-Approval Process • Gather all necessary information and documentation needed to effectively analyze borrower’s qualification for Conventional, FHA, VA, USDA, and Non-QM programs • Pull Credit • Income analysis • Structure loan file in alignment with borrower’s financial goals • Clearly and joyfully communicate to both borrowers and Realtor partners throughout every step of the Pre-Approval process • Manage, organize, and fully utilize CRM, internal efficiency systems • Proactively innovate new ideas to increase client retention • Consistently execute follow-up protocols • Prioritize actions and time spent within daily/weekly/monthly team KPI’s Qualifications: • NMLS License, or willing to obtain NMLS License upon hire • High attention to detail and analytical skills • Strong problem-solving skills, ability to think outside the box, and a can-do mindset • Team player with a team goal-oriented mindset • Strong written and verbal communication, and customer service skills • Ability to use standard Microsoft Office products, as well as the ability to learn and quickly implement new systems • Prior experience in finance, mortgage lending, real estate, or title/escrow, is recommended, but not required Compensation: $60,000 - $75,000 per year DOE
