Job Description

Our Apprentice will be expected to contribute to the team, and will learn about the mortgage industry, by working through the following:

• Updating client files by collecting information, reviewing documentation and organizing it
• Working within our loan origination software
• Communications with title agents, insurance agents, loan processors and corporate office to process loan applications
• Manage a working database of clients to generate applications
• Executing marketing initiatives - specifically, preparing information and delivering to real estate partners
• Support staff of dedicated loan processors, corporate officers and team lead

Qualifications

Availability: Immediate.

Basic Standards:

• Interest in the field of business management/ marketing/ sales/ finance
• Finance and/or client relationship background preferred, but not required
• Ability to work with cloud based technologies, web platforms and MS Office products, outgoing personality; ability to communicate with clients via phone and in person
• Basic mathematical skills required, advanced mathematical abilities helpful

Our expectations for the assistant/apprenticeship include:

• Successfully gaining an NMLS (nationwide multistate licensing system) license - the required licensure for loan officers
• Learning Encompass, the leading national mortgage origination software
• Gaining an understanding of mortgage underwriting guidelines, loan production, and requirements
• Learning real estate economics and understanding the marketplace
• Developing ability to originate loans and other key skills needed to advance to a loan officer apprenticeship level

A toolkit and resume to increase the likelihood of your success includes, but not required:

• Past customer service
• Financial calculator comprehension
• Bachelor's degree in business, finance or marketing
• Experiences in life including successes, failures, starting something new, finishing a large task, working through a process and organizing a bookshelf or stack of papers
